Frequently Asked Questions |
-
Can Kopirkin be adapted to my country's currency and language?
-
Yes - Kopirkin machines come fully adapted to particular country's language (display messages and exterior design) and currency (bill and coin acceptors). If we don't already have a firmware for your country, localization will take around 4 weeks.
Note that Operator’s Manual and other documentation is in English, German or Russian.
-
What copier model is Kopirkin based on?
-
Kopirkin is based on a copier Xerox 4118P. We have chosen this unit for its extremely good cost/performance ratio, and good availability of Xerox service/spare parts/supplies in many countries.
-
Does Kopirkin support any other copier models?
-
Currently, it does not.
-
I want to buy bill acceptor/coin acceptor/copier unit from local supplier, to have local warranty/service for it. Is it possible to purchase Kopirkin without these modules pre-installed?
-
Yes, this is possible - for distributors and with bulk orders. Kopirkin supports most bill and coin acceptors with pulse or MDB interfaces. Prices and conditions are discussed separately in each particular case.
-
What supplies does Kopirkin require? Where to buy them? How much do they cost? What is their resource?
-
Kopirkin has standard Xerox toner cartridge (part number 006R01278 or 6R1278, approximate cost €70, resource 8 000 pages) and drum cartridge (part number 113R00671, approximate cost €50, resource 20 000 pages), which can be bought in any large computer store.
-
What maintenance does Kopirkin require, and how often? What is the cost of it?
-
Kopirkin requires occasional cleaning. See Maintenance section on the Operation page.
-
What warranty does Kopirkin have? Is out-of-warranty service provided?
-
Kopirkin has full (parts and labor) 1-year warranty on all modules. Out-of-warranty service is available at additional fee.
-
What is Kopirkin power consumption?
-
See the Specifications page, power consumption section.
-
What happens when the machine runs out of paper?
-
Kopirkin stops accepting money when it has less than 50 paper sheets remaining. This allows the current user to finish copying. As soon as this user finishes copying, machine displays “Machine is out of order. No paper.” message.
If the machine has GSM module installed, it will inform the operator via SMS, twice. First time - when there’s machine will be out of paper soon (less than 100 paper sheets left), second time - when machine is actually out of paper.
-
What happens if paper gets jammed?
-
Kopirkin will show “Machine is out of order. Paper jam.” message on the display, and stop accepting money. If the machine has GSM module installed, it will inform the operator about the paper jam.
-
What functionality does GSM module have?
-
Kopirkin units with GSM module installed can be monitored remotely. See the Remote Monitoring page for details.
